Selling

Show-ready in twenty minutes

Aug. 10, 2026 by Tammy Fisher

Showing requests in Loveland often come with an hour's notice, sometimes less. The sellers who handle it best do not deep clean before every showing. They keep a short routine and run it the same way every time.

Wipe the kitchen and bathroom counters. Make the beds. Open every blind and curtain. Push the dining chairs in. Set the thermostat somewhere comfortable and leave it. Turn on the lamps, even in daylight. Take the trash out. Take the dog with you.

That is the whole list, and it fits on the fridge. I keep a version of it on this site that you can check off on your phone, and it prints on one page if you want a paper copy for the counter.

The reason it matters is simple. Buyers decide how they feel about a house in the first minute, and the first minute is light, smell and clutter. Everything else they learn about the house comes after that first impression has been made.
